Leads the creation, implementation, and optimization of software tools in support of various domains including design, manufacturing, validation, silicon production, systems integration, software application products, or ecosystem enabling. Utilizes modern software development methodologies, programming languages, domain knowledge, and secure coding practices to design, develop, debug, and/or validate algorithms, software tools, and systems that enable our internal/external engineering partners to design/manufacture intel silicon, integrate Intel silicon and/or software into impactful products. Examples of tools/systems include debuggers, analyzers, SDKs, IDEs, PDKs, performance monitors, software tools and libraries, flows, and/or methodologies for design, manufacturing, validation, and test.
As the manager of the IP Handoff Solutions (IPHS) team, you will be critical to the future success of Intel. IPs and their exchange within Intel form the foundation of all of Intel's products. Intel's IPHS team is a research and development group that develops and delivers tools, flows, and methods for a complete IP handoff system. The IP handoff system includes IP quality validation using industry IP QA tooling, IP handoff and release, prototyping, and architecture exploration.
This position offers opportunity to manage a US team and act as the functional manager for the global teams that delivers IP Handoff solutions for the majority of Intel SOCs and IPs.
As part of this team, you will be developing and applying CAD software engineering methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems, assessing architecture and hardware limitations, planning technical projects in the design and development of CAD software, and defining and selecting new approaches and implementation of CAD software. IPHS is an exciting and challenging environment.

Manages a team of software application development engineers and architects responsible for the development and validation of software flows.

Oversees software development across its lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, developing, debugging, validating, optimization, customer engagement, and/or product support.

Provides technical guidance and ensure that sound engineering practices are followed.

Enables teams to execute through clear goal setting, facilitating work, maintaining accountability, applying differentiated performance management, and driving team results.

Partners with other teams to design and develop optimized solutions for accelerating Intel's product development.

Oversees the quality and reliability of this system with utmost importance, as delays directly impact Intel's ability to tape-in products in a timely fashion.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
Education Requirement:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or any other related field with 9+ years of related experience in software development, software lifecycle and execution OR

Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or any other related field with 6+ years of related experience in software development, software lifecycle and execution.
Technical Experience:
-
3+ years of experience in management of an agile or similar software development team.
-
3+ years of experience working with IP or SOC integration methodologies and tooling.
-
3+ years of hands-on code development experience in Perl/Python or other languages used in software tools development preferably in the CAD tools domain.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience in Jira or other bug tracking software

Experience in the application Software SDLC, ci/cd methodologies, and Software QA practices.

Experience in IP Quality Assurance software (Crosscheck, etc.)

Experience working with Foundry partners and the ecosystem of IP delivery

Experience in Hard IP, Standard cell library and IO validation or quality assurance

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US:
$169,820.00-$239,750.00
Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.
Work Model for this Role
