Key Responsibilities:
System Automation & Deployment
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous delivery and integration of software.
- Automate deployment, scaling, and management of infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Infrastructure Management
- Manage cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.
- Monitor system health and performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog and proactively address potential issues.
Collaboration and Process Improvement
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Work with QA teams to automate testing processes and improve build quality.
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce deployment times and operational costs.
Security and Compliance
- Implement robust security measures in infrastructure, applications, and CI/CD processes.
- Ensure systems meet compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST).
Incident Management and Support
- Lead incident response efforts to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, runbooks, and knowledge bases for systems and processes.
Qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), or similar role.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI).
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of networking, Linux/Unix systems, and database management.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with observability and logging tools (e.g., ELK Stack, Splunk).
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and serverless computing.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git.
- Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer).
