Job Description
Our software business systems are built to provide efficiency and functionality to our branch offices and warehouses, allowing Expeditors to provide outstanding customer service and competitive rates. Our internal and external systems are an integrated suite of collaborative supply chain software applications that are designed to assist our operations teams and customers in managing international and domestic shipping challenges.
The document management team focuses on building and sustaining the digital creation, storage, and movement of documents related to shipments, supply chain, customs, and accounting.
What you will be doing:
- Playing a key role on a collaborative agile development team, responsible for the design, production, and testing of mission critical, enterprise-scale business systems
- Influence the design and technical direction of multiple systems
- Creating strategies to identify, replicate and test defects across multiple applications and code bases
- Partnering with Quality Assurance to plan, design, build, refine, and maintain automated test suites in alignment with program vision and roadmap
- Working with developers to establish proper test coverage
- Drive improvements pertaining to project requirements and applications design
- Verify new build functionality and quality before releasing to end-users
- Reproduce reported bugs and demo to the team
- Review log files to determine if applications are behaving as designed
- Maintaining an awareness of evolving technologies in use by other teams at Expeditors and in the technology industry as a whole
This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study, or equivalent experience
- Proficient Java coding abilities
- At least 2 years of experience as a Developer in Test in a software development team environment OR
- 1 year of experience as a Developer in Test in a software development team environment AND
- 1 year of experience as a java developer in a software development team environment
- Customer service-oriented attitude and great time-management skills
- Ability to communicate across IT and Business roles
- Experience with common industry testing tools
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Cucumber, Selenium/Webdriver, Jmeter, SoapUI, Protractor, TestCafe, TestComplete, SOATest)
- Experience with IDEs (e.g. IntelliJ and Eclipse)
- Experience with messaging systems like Kafka
- Knowledge of containers and orchestration
- Experience with build tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab Runner)
- Experience with SQL, JavaScript and /or Python
- Experience with web development
- Proficient in driving technical and process improvements
- Agile/SAFe leadership experience including continuous improvement of team processes
- Web-based and service-based architectures and deployment paradigms
- Experience working in a logistics business domain

Additional Information
Expected base salary: $100,000 to 140,000
