POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our IT Operations team. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and tools required to support continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes. This role involves working closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure efficient and secure software delivery pipelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud platforms, automation, and DevOps best practices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- CI/CD Pipeline Development:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
- Use tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar to manage CI/CD workflows.
- Ensure that CI/CD pipelines are efficient, reliable, and secure.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
- Use IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) to manage and provision infrastructure.
- Automate the provisioning and configuration of cloud resources to support development and production environments.
- Ensure that infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and secure.
- Monitoring and Logging:
- Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions to track system performance and health.
- Use tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack to monitor applications and infrastructure.
- Identify and address potential issues before they impact users.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of services.
- Provide guidance and support to development teams on DevOps best practices and tools.
- Participate in project planning and provide input on infrastructure and operational requirements.
- Security and Compliance:
- Ensure that security best practices are integrated into all aspects of the DevOps processes.
- Work closely with the security team to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
- Implement security controls and measures to protect software delivery pipelines.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, continuously seeking opportunities to improve processes and tools.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, encouraging innovation and the adoption of best practices.
- Participate in training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in DevOps and cloud technologies.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud).
- In-depth knowledge of DevOps principles and best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Strong understanding of automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certificate(s) or License(s): Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
