At Everlane we are product leaders.  We are building a first-class design team, and we are currently looking to fill a Designer level position that will focus on designing and developing great products for Women’s Everlane Customers. This includes shirting, dresses, casual and tailored bottoms, as well as support on both technical and tailored outerwear. 

We are looking for a Designer with a keen eye for elevated and timeless design, a passion for trend analysis, and a relentless eye for detail. We need a designer who has experience in partnering closely with the development team and the tech/fit team, is capable of participating in fitting sessions, and can work cross-functionally with merchandising to problem-solve for the assortment.

This is a full-time hybrid role based at our San Francisco office headquarters in the Mission neighborhood on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, reporting to Senior Designer of Women’s Wovens.

 Your day-to-day:

  • Conduct seasonal research for shapes and relevant input for the Design team ideation sessions
  • Create and develop the seasonal fabric manipulation by working closely with the product development team 
  • Work with design team to sketch into your category, pass off sketches to technical team
  • Assist in presentation materials for milestone meetings
  • Capable of clear and concise communication presenting  designs and ideas to design team
  • Communicate and collaborate with Raw Materials, Tech teams, and Production teams to ensure aid in the daily functioning of the wovens team
  • Manage trim development and approvals 
  • Create technical flats, construction details, and Bill-of-Materials for women’s wovens. Own from development to production under guidance of Senior Designer.

 We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role 
  • Technical Knowledge of wovens patternmaking and construction
  • Bachelor's Degree in Fashion or closely related design field 
  • Great taste and a strong understanding of casual chic
  • The desire to work on a collaborative and diverse team that is dedicated to doing good for the planet and the consumer
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and a solution-oriented approach to challenges

If you are a California resident, this is for you:  At Everlane, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. The annual compensation range for this role is: $68,000-$85,000. This range is based on the San Francisco geographic area and the actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience and geographic location.
