Key Responsibilities of the role

  • Main day-to-day will be to support the team on the production/amendments of brochures and presentations using InDesign, PowerPoint, Illustrator by applying the client brand guidelines to all outputs.
  • Demonstratable conceptual design experience – samples will be requested at interview
  • Demonstrable data visualisation experience – samples will be requested at interview
  • Take briefs from clients whilst advising them on the best technical and design solution
  • Educate and influence clients to choose effective and functional designs and deliverables within their timeframes
  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to liaise at all levels (client, team, manager and IT)
  • Negotiate and manage deadlines
  • Follow standards and digital guidelines for branded materials
  • Proactive in self-development, using training materials and sources provided
  • Keep up to date with software tools and equipment
  • Keeps up to date with any changes to the client brand guidelines and communicates these changes to the rest of the team
  • Develop and share best practice and working knowledge with team members
  • Enthusiastic and willing attitude towards work
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Advanced Adobe InDesign & Illustrator experience
  • Advanced Powerpoint animation experience
  • Understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel

Job qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Digital Arts/Graphic Design (or other related field) or equivalent years of experience

· 3-5 years of relevant work experience in the graphic design industry

· Advanced design knowledge and application.

· Exceptional visual trouble shooting skills.

· Ability to storyboard, comp visual ideas within the creative process.

· Conceptual creative and production skills with a good understanding of layout principles, aesthetic design concepts and typography.

· Proven experience creating campaigns and extending the look and feel through various marketing materials.

· Able to complete tasks within tight schedules and under strict layout controls.

· Strong verbal communication skills; dependable, detail-oriented, and well organized.

· Strong presentation skills.

· Proven skills in the latest Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office, including Power Point

· Web design experience is a plus.

· Experience working in both in an agency and/or corporate environment preferred.

· Motivated, organized, and flexible.

· Must be able to meet deadlines and complete all projects in a timely manner.

· Ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information.

· Able to make independent decisions that conform to business needs and policy.

· Good problem-solving skills, with the ability and understanding of when to escalate a problem to a supervisory level.

· Must work well in a team environment.

· Must be able to interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Must be self-motivated with positive can-do attitude.
