Job Duties
- Oversee Design Team for scheduling and quality of work. Maintain design and Designer standards and schedule coordination.
- Knowledge and experience in designing ICG wall panel and truss standards
- Generating estimates, layouts and panel profiles using MiTek
- Create cost effective and accurate layouts and wall designs from architectural and structural drawings using all associated details
- Generating all out for production and installation
- Actively participation in mentoring, training, and developing of other, less experienced team members
- Maintaining up to date knowledge on products, plan design and construction techniques
- Provide job-site support, when needed
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently managing multiple tasks, setting priorities and ensuring all work is completed by deadlines given
Responsibilities & Relationships
- Maintain a good working relationship with other Team Leaders to insure consistent design standards
- Be able to share work with other Team Leaders as work load changes
- Recognized as an organization leader and have commanding presence and is able to inspire/influence others.
- A strong steward of the ICG culture and core values.
- Possess an influencing presence internally and communicate ideas in a way that persuades others to buy-in and act (both written and verbal).
- Deep understanding of business acumen, and a natural strategic thinker.
- Report to the Design Director
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred; but not required
- 5+ years of wall panel design experience preferred
- MiTek Sapphire Structure experience is a strong plus
- Previous leadership/management experience is beneficial due to the mentoring nature of this role
- Proven ability to build relationships, gain rapport quickly, and collaborate internally and externally
- Able to set and achieve goals for themselves and equally hold others accountable
- Ability to flex in and out of managing multiple projects
- Consistently focused on doing great work that is highly accurate and demonstrate strong attention to detail
- Continually manages time efficiently, with strong capabilities to multi-task and problem solve
