JOB PURPOSE:
A Cloud Network Deployment Engineer specializes in designing, deploying, and managing networking infrastructure within cloud environments. This role focuses on ensuring that cloud-based systems and services can communicate securely and efficiently, leveraging the cloud provider's networking capabilities. The engineer works on establishing and managing connectivity, ensuring network performance, security, and scalability.
You will work closely with global cloud and network engineering and vendor partners to plan, execute, and deliver network deployments and upgrades on time and within budget. This role requires a blend of technical expertise in networking, project management skills, and effective communication abilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop project plans outlining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements for network infrastructure projects.
• Design and implement virtual networks in cloud environments (e.g., VPCs, subnets, and IP addressing).
• Plan and configure network topology to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
• Configure VPNs, ExpressRoute (Azure), or other private connectivity options for hybrid environments.
• Deploy and configure networking components such as load balancers, routers, firewalls, and gateways in cloud environments.
• Set up software-defined networking (SDN) and define policies for virtual networking in Azure Virtual Networks.
• Implement traffic routing, network segmentation, and security policies to ensure secure and efficient communication.
• Monitor network performance using cloud-native tools (e.g., Azure Network Watcher) to detect and resolve bottlenecks or failures.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues, including DNS, latency, and security-related problems.
• Implement security best practices in cloud networking, such as configuring firewalls, Network Access Control Lists (NACLs), and security groups.
• Manage and implement encryption protocols for data in transit (e.g., IPsec, TLS) to ensure data security.
• Conduct network vulnerability assessments and implement solutions for security compliance
• Implement and manage hybrid cloud networking solutions that integrate on-premises and cloud networks.
• Set up site-to-site VPNs or private interconnects to ensure secure communication between on-premises data centers and the cloud.
• Handle data synchronization, migration, and networking between cloud and on-premises systems.
• Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate project outcomes, identify lessons learned, and recommend process improvements for future projects.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices in networking to recommend and implement innovative solutions.

KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Network Infrastructures, preferably 5+ years of experience in Network deployment and project delivery role in any global organization.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols. Experience with network monitoring and management tools, such as SolarWinds.
• Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices. Cloud Network certification preferred.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing network and ISP vendor relationships and service agreements.

Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in infrastructure and operations, including AIOps, SRE, ITSM Maturity and automations.
