The Opportunity


As a Deployment Engineer in Robotics at ANYbotics, you’ll embark on a global journey to deploy innovative robotics solutions to address real-world challenges. In this role, you’ll work directly with customers around the globe to ensure the seamless installation and operation of ANYmal robots. Your day-to-day will involve traveling to customer sites, setting up and supporting deployments, and providing hands-on training and assistance to customers, helping them get the most value from their robotic systems. ANYbotics transforms industrial environments in the energy, process and utility sector by introducing robotics to a wide range of novel applications that so far were beyond reach. Our mobile robot ANYmal uses legs for extreme mobility in complex environments, camera- and LIDAR-based sensing for full autonomy and obstacle avoidance, and AI for high-quality and consistent inspection results. The software enabling ANYmal to perform autonomous inspection missions is almost exclusively developed in-house. Our customers are large asset operators and industrial service providers pioneering the use of robotics technology for inspection and maintenance.

Your Contributions

  • Set up, configure, and troubleshoot ANYmal robots in diverse environments, adapting quickly to varying customer needs and technical requirements
  • Travel regularly, often on short notice, to customer sites worldwide, embracing diverse and sometimes challenging environments to deliver exceptional service
  • Provide hands-on support for customer projects, from installation to post-deployment assistance, ensuring smooth, successful setups and operations
  • Conduct training sessions to guide customers on operating ANYmal, simplifying technical concepts to ensure ease of use and confidence in our product
  • Collect and communicate valuable insights from customer deployments, helping inform product development and refinement
  • Represent ANYbotics at events and exhibitions as needed, showcasing ANYmal’s capabilities and fostering interest in our technology

Your Profile

  • Foundational understanding of robotics, mechatronics, or similar fields, demonstrated through relevant education or hands-on experience
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing role, such as technical support, customer service, or other roles where relationship-building is key
  • Proactive problem-solver, quick learner and adaptable
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), effective communicator able to adapt to diverse audiences (technical proficiency, cultural background, etc.)
  • Enthusiastic about frequent travel (up to 80%) to various field locations, including industrial and remote environments. Comfortable adapting to different cultural contexts
  • Positive attitude, eager to contribute to a fun, supportive, collaborative work environment

Bonus Points

  • Experience with Linux and command-line usage
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure, ROS and Git
  • Experience with Python and C++
  • Driver’s license (Class B)
  • Proficiency in German or other languages (French, Portuguese, etc.)
