All about the role:
We are seeking a Demand Planning Specialist (M/F). The Ideal candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Economics, with 2 to 4 years’ experience in a similar position, familiar with ERP (Ideally SAP) and advanced planning tool.
The Demand Planning Specialist plays a crucial role in aligning the sales, operations, and supply chain functions of a company to ensure that the organization can meet its sales goals while maintaining optimal inventory levels and operational efficiency, and responsible for developing, monitoring, and adjusting demand forecasts to ensure the efficient operation of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. The role involves close collaboration with sales, product line, marketing, finance, and supply chain teams to create a consensus-based demand plan that supports the company’s goals. The Demand Planning specialist ensures that inventory levels are optimized to meet customer demand while minimizing excess stock and obsolescence.
What you’ll do:
Demand Forecasting

Develop and maintain rolling demand forecasts, using IBP tool, market trend and customer insights.

Regularly review and adjust demand forecasts based on actual sales performance and market evolution.

Collaborate with sales, Supply Team, marketing, and product line teams to incorporate promotional plans, new product launches into demand forecast.

Work closely with supply chain and operations teams to ensure supply plans align with demand forecasts, balancing customer service levels with inventory costs.

Serve as the primary point of contact for all demand-related inquiries and issues.

Communicate demand changes, risks, and opportunities to relevant stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.

Partner with finance to align demand forecasts with financial plans and budgets.
Data Analysis & Reporting:

Monitor and report all related KPI’s to meet the target related to forecast accuracy/bias that can help to support and improve the S&OP Process.

Use data insights to recommend actions for improving forecast accuracy, bias, inventory management, and overall S&OP effectiveness.

Analyze demand data to identify trends, deviations, and underlying drivers of demand variability.
Product Guidelines and Product Evolution:

Participate in integrated meetings and support the supply chain perspective regarding the phase-in/ out and launch management.

Update new product launch plan information for Sales & Marketing. (SOP and ETA Market).
Orders and Dispatch Management:

Manage the replenishment of the Market based on the aligned unconstraint demand.

Communicate orders priorities to suppliers and control tower Team to support ensure on time production.

Coordinate with control tower team the dispatch plan of open orders.
Clearance and documentation Management:

Initiate the COC request through Portnet as per VOC program.

Check and manage the documentation of the shipments to ensure a smooth clearance with the support of our 3PL.

Ensure a daily tracking of ETA of our shipments and act in case of big deviation vs agreed transit time.
Continuous improvement:

Continuously seek to improve forecasting methods, tools, and processes.

Lead or participate in cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing the S&OP process, improving demand planning accuracy, or optimizing inventory levels.

Stay current with industry best practices, technological advancements, and emerging trends in demand planning and S&OP.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.

Proficiency in demand planning software and Excel; experience with statistical forecasting tools is highly desirable.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Problem-solving abilities.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Adaptability and willingness to learn and implement new tools and processes

Fluent in French and English.
