JOB SUMMARY:

Cabinetworks Group, a leading manufacturer of cabinets and kitchen/bath products, is seeking a Demand Planner to support our strategic sales growth initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate with the S&OP team, sales leaders, product line managers, and customers to understand sales trends by product line and key customers. Maintain and update demand plan that is provided to internal stakeholders during the S&OP process. Serve as subject matter expert on the demand plan and answer questions from stakeholders. Provide insights into market demand as it relates to sale forecast and recommend required changes to sales forecast to reflect market demand.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Demand planning expert for Cabinetworks Group, including:

  • Monthly demand forecast consensus review and ensuring alignment with sales forecast
  • Identify risk in demand plan vs. budget during the sales consensus
  • Validation of demand forecast statistical model
  • Provide demand forecast exceptions to statistical model
  • Ensure sales dollars, units, and ASP assumption in demand forecast are accurate

• Provide exceptions to demand statistical forecast using:

  • Market indicators
  • Salesforce.com opportunities and pipeline
  • Promotional calendars
  • Product line management input as related to product portfolio and pricing changes
  • Changes in sales and marketing strategies

• Present to leadership:

  • Current demand forecast, changes to prior period, and comparison of year-over-year changes
  • Prior month performance vs. latest demand plan and communicate differences, root causes, and actions to improve forecast accuracy
  • Measure performance to MAPE of demand forecast and drive continuous improvement

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Experience and understanding of supply chain and inventory management systems

• Experience with business sales and operational planning (S&OP) processes and methodology

• Strong analytical skills and background with a mastery of Microsoft Excel; ability to analyze data from customers, internal ERP, and finance in a systematic way.

• Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and PowerBI

• Ability to thrive in a fluid, demanding culture.

• Organizational as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.

• Work with minimal supervision.

• Be able to work under deadline pressure and meet the deadlines.

• Read and comprehend printed data/information, and data/information displayed on PC monitor.

• Recognize discrepancies in written/recorded data/information.

• Communicate effectively with management, coworkers and customers.

• Able to work with more than one project/responsibility simultaneously.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• 5-7 years of experience in demand planning or business analyst.

• Building products, cabinetry, and/or millwork industry experience preferred
