Extreme Networks is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Demand Planner to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring we meet customer demand by accurately forecasting future requirements and developing effective supply chain planning strategies. Improve Supply related customer satisfaction while supporting revenue and profit growth through improved run rate and Pipeline forecasting and CPFR planning for Distribution.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain accurate forecasts for products, considering historical data, Product Mgmt intelligence, market trends, demand visibility, and industry dynamics
• Manage demand consumption against forecast; adjust & analyze variance
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Mgmt / Marketing, and SCM teams to ensure alignment between demand forecasts and Supply plans.
• Monitor pipeline, industry trends, and competitor activity to identify potential risks and opportunities
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate demand insights to stakeholders
• CPFR (Collaborative Forecasting Planning and Replenishment) process with Distribution and Sales teams. Maintain channel’s run rate and Pipeline (Project) forecast at the model level
Specific Responsibilities within Extreme Networks
• Creation and maintenance of a rolling 4-6 Qtr global forecast within Rapid Response
• Align forecasts to corporate ‘tops-down’ AOP guidance
• Maintain a non-revenue forecast for Service requirements
• Manage / Recommend buffer (investment) forecast
• Analyze historical data, market trends, and customer demand in preparation to work with Product Management to develop accurate forecasts
• Vet SFDC opportunities with opportunity owners
• Work cross-functionality with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to understand promotional plans, product launches, and customer trends
• Monitor and adjust inventory levels via forecast drives to ensure optimal stock availability
• Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports through SFDC and Rapid Response
• Review product SKU forecasts for new, existing, and end-of-sale products.
• Manage full Product Lifecycle; NPI through EOS products with PLM
• Support management with risk assessment and implement solutions that accurately improve demand forecasts and contingency plans.
• Quarterly Consensus & Delivery plan roll up for S&OP with detail to show the current state of the business product families.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree
• Experience: 5+ years in SCM or related field
• 2+ years of experience in Demand Planning
• Kinaxis (Rapid Response) knowledge and experience preferred
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau; and aptitude to learn new tools / applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Team oriented; proactive and action-oriented
• Analytical, able to transform qualitative and quantitative data into executable strategies
• Working knowledge of ERP Systems and logic, specifically demand forecasting
