Job Description
Purpose:

  • Reporting to the Sr. S&OP Manager Japan, this role is responsible for ensuring the forecast of a valid finished goods Demand Plan for the cluster, covering a rolling 18-month horizon
  • Working closely with the various stakeholders, the Demand Planner should ensure accurate forecast models and accurate supply requirement calculation of locally produced, repacked and imported goods. To accomplish this, the Demand / Supply Planner will conduct relevant meetings and system updates to transcript market feedback into plan
  • The position is a key contributor to S&OP process toward achieving customer satisfaction and company financial goals.


Responsibilities:

  • Support in LOG.OS(Kraft Heinz Logistics Operation System) to develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function
  • Review historical sales trends, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
  • Interact with sales, and customer finance to understand demand forecast drivers, updated sales input to Forecast Model.
  • Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Customer Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
  • Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool.
  • Analize and evaluate product characteristics and provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
  • Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning
  • Perform analytical tasks to support the S&OP team
  • Support the S&OP team with analytical tasks including Supply Chin Losses Reduction, International Zone activities etc.

  • Forecast Accuracy / Forecast Bias / Consistent Bias
  • Service levels (OTIF, CFR, RDD)
  • Inventory Level, Working Capital
  • Supply Chain Losses


Personal attributes:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
  • Knowledge of SAP/APO or Oracle Demand Planning or other software related to demand planning is preferred
  • Fluent Japanese and English
  • Strong proficiency in MS-Excel
  • Analytical, numerate and detail oriented
  • Persistent and goal oriented
