As Demand Manager, you will be a crucial liaison between business functions and the IT/OT department, responsible for understanding business needs, translating them into clear and actionable requirements. This role encompasses demand management, business case development, and provides essential support for the creation of conceptual designs for Enterprise Solution, Infrastructure, and OT initiatives. You will ensure transparency regarding demands, dependencies, and the overall system landscape, facilitating informed decision-making for the organization.
You will be working closely with business stakeholders, IT/OT departments, and project management team to understand business requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop concepts for Enterprise Solutions, Infrastructure initiatives, and OT systems. You will also be responsible for demand management, providing transparency on demands, dependencies, and system landscape, and preparing business plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis:
- Analyze business needs and identify opportunities for improvement in enterprise systems, front-end solutions, and OT systems.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop solutions to meet those needs.
- - Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the organization's business processes, systems, and technology landscape.
Concept Development:
- Support the creation of concepts for Enterprise Solutions, Infrastructure initiatives, and OT systems.
- Work with business stakeholders and IT/OT departments to identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement.
- Develop business cases and proposals to support the implementation of new solutions.
Demand Management:
- Documents demands from business stakeholders, ensuring that they can be properly assessed, and prioritized.
- Provide transparency on demands, dependencies, and system landscape to business stakeholders and IT/OT departments.
- Identify impact of demands and system changes.
Business Planning:
- Prepare business plans and proposals to support the implementation of new solutions, including cost-benefit analyses, ROI calculations, and implementation plans.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT/OT departments to develop and refine business plans.
- Presents business plans to senior stakeholders.
Interface and Collaboration:
- Act as an interface between business functions, Enterprise Application team, project management team, and Service Management team.
- Collaborate with IT/OT building the demand funnel and establishing decision stage gates.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between business stakeholders, IT/OT departments, and project management teams.
System Landscape:
- Maintain a deep understanding of the organization's system landscape, including enterprise systems, front-end solutions, and OT systems.
- Identify opportunities for integration, consolidation, and optimization of systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, and IT
- Strong understanding of business processes, systems, and technology landscape.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple demands.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience with demand management, business planning, and system landscape analysis.
- Fluent in English
- German is beneficial
- Experience with Enterprise Solutions, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity and OT systems, an asset.
- Knowledge of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL), an asset.
- Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), an asset.
- Certification in business analysis, an asset.

Northland Power is an independent power producer founded in 1987, and publicly traded since 1997.
