Role Overview 
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Demand Generation to lead Merkle’s efforts in driving top-of-funnel growth and building a strong pipeline of high-quality leads. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping Merkle’s demand generation strategy, working closely with the Chief Growth Officer, NE and local markets CEO to drive scalable campaigns, nurture leads, and elevate the Merkle brand. You will oversee multi-channel campaigns and collaborate across teams to optimize lead generation, customer acquisition, and ultimately revenue growth. 

You will be responsible for: 

  • Demand Generation: Define and execute a comprehensive demand generation plans aligned with Merkle’s growth objectives. 
  • Campaign Management: Plan, create, and manage multi-channel campaigns, including digital marketing, email, webinars, events, and more, to generate leads. 
  • Lead Nurturing: Design and implement lead nurturing programs to convert prospects into high-value sales opportunities. 
  • Account-Based Marketing (ABM): Develop and execute ABM strategies to engage key enterprises, startups, and other high-potential targets. 
  • Collaboration: Partner with sales, client and marketing teams to align demand generation efforts with the broader go-to-market strategy. 
  • External Agency Management: Manage relationships with external agencies and vendors to support demand generation initiatives. 
     

What Success Looks Like 
Your success in this role will be defined by your ability to drive significant growth in demand generation, optimize lead conversion rates, and elevate the Merkle brand. Specifically, we will measure your success in the following areas: 

  • Growth in marketing-generated revenue and high-quality leads. 
  • Successful execution of multi-channel campaigns, achieving performance targets. 
  • Development of a strong demand generation culture and understanding within the region and markets 
     

Qualifications & Experience 

  • 10+ years of experience in demand generation, digital marketing, or related fields, with a proven track record in executing high-impact campaigns. 
  • Strong expertise in marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and data analytics platforms 
  • Experience with Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies and multi-channel marketing campaigns. 
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to track, measure, and optimize marketing initiatives. 
  • Proven experience in building, managing, and mentoring high-performing teams. 
  • A deep understanding of demand generation best practices, trends, and tools. 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders.
