About the Role:
As AngelList’s Demand Generation Lead, you will work closely with our Head of Marketing to craft a comprehensive marketing strategy aimed at lead generation and finding repeatable growth channels for our full-service fund management product offerings. In addition to generating new business, you'll also be able to explore ways to nurture and strengthen existing customer relationships to support your campaigns. While your primary focus will be on our full-service offerings, you'll have the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of customers within the AngelList ecosystem, spanning emerging managers, established funds (GPs), investors (LPs), and founders across various touch points.
You will be a founding member on the Revenue Marketing team, so we're looking for someone who will take initiative, learn AngelList’s product quickly and thoroughly, operate in ambiguity, bring a growth mindset to their work each day, and be excited to help build a revenue-generating marketing motion from the ground up. This role reports to the Head of Marketing.
You will:
- Engage regularly with potential (and current) customers across mediums to drive excitement about AngelList’s mission, vision, and product offerings
- Translate business objectives focused on driving top-of-funnel growth into a marketing schedule across an array of channels, including social, events, email campaigns, paid media, and more
- Ensure that marketing campaigns are uniquely crafted towards each target customer and product offering to effectively drive MQLs, and work with our Sales team to convert MQLs into SQLs
- Conceptualize, plan, execute, and manage the complete process of demand generation campaigns, including post evaluation and analysis (in partnership with Marketing Ops)
- Partner with Design and Content & Product Marketing to create compelling, on-brand content across channels that support your schedule, including social media, blog, email campaigns, and new ideas that you invent
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Customer Relations, and Sales teams to create a deep understanding of how our current and potential customers communicate, their pain points, and how our product solves those pain points in order to create effective marketing campaigns to drive growth and retention
- Help support in-flight projects (internal & external) and provide marketing insights, feedback, and support as needed
You have:
- 5+ years of experience in marketing or related fields (e.g., sales, customer success, account management), with at least 3 years in demand generation, strategic marketing, or other revenue-focused roles, successfully managing and scaling multiple growth channels
- Worked in a B2B SaaS company, not necessarily in the fintech industry but have an interest in learning AngelList’s complex business and private markets
- Experience owning MQL-generating campaigns through an array of channels, including webinars, events, gifting, social, referral programs, email marketing, ABM, etc.
- Deep knowledge and ability to track metrics across the entire sales funnel from campaign engagement to MQL to SQL to Closed Won
- Strong communication (written and oral) and project management skills to effectively manage and execute against your campaign schedule
- Experience bringing customer stories to market via referral programs, case studies, testimonials, or community building
- A collaborative outlook and ability to effectively work cross-functionally with sales, brand design, product, customer success, and leadership!
Success in this Role Means:
- Meeting quarterly MQLs and pipeline goals for new business generation
- Strategizing, creating, and executing on the quarterly revenue marketing campaign calendar
- Willingness to test, learn, and iterate campaigns across channels and effectively tell this story through metrics and reporting

AngelList has offices in two hub cities: San Francisco and New York City that you can choose to work from. We’re focused on hiring within these hubs and people hired from these hub offices are expected to come into the office twice per week (Tuesdays and choice between Wednesday or Thursday). From time to time, we will make rare exceptions for new hires if they need to be fully remote.
Compensation: The compensation for this role consists of a competitive base salary, benefits, and equity package. The base salary for this role starts at $120,000+ annually but the actual compensation will vary based on a factors including a candidate’s professional background, experience, and location. Additional details about our Total Rewards package will be provided during the recruitment process.
