About the Role
The Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA) Operations team at Everest, is looking for a Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA) Analyst to join our team. This individual will support the pre and post bind functionality of business processes and procedures, administration and analysis around the oversight and governance of Delegated Authority (DA) facilities: including bordereaux receipts across Everest platforms, ensuring the business has been processed in compliance with regulatory minimum standards.
This position will be based out of our Madrid or our Dublin office (3 days in office/2 days remote) supporting our UK and Ireland business.
Responsibilities

Management of bordereaux receipts.

Administration of initial bordereaux map within internal Everest bordereaux management system and delegation of all further maps to Everest’s Third Party administrator.

Answering bordereaux queries from internal colleagues and third party administrator.

Management for retrieval of both internal and external sources for missing bordereaux.

Ensuring data quality and all regulatory requirements are met with data ingestion of bordereaux.

Ensuring adherence of Employers Liability Insurance Regulation on Bordereaux format.

Dealing with queries from UW’s and other internal stakeholders.

Helping with Portal downloads for BDX.

Ownership of bordereaux information feeding into relevant Committee packs for all underwriting platforms.

Assist Underwriting Assistants and finance in managing Credit Control for DUA.
Key Accountabilities
-
Day to day responsibility of all incoming Risks written and Premium Bordereaux, as appropriate and to work with third party administrator to map and upload bordereaux as appropriate to bordereaux system.

To process LBS bordereaux into DA-SATS promptly and efficiently and deal with any queries arising.

To ensure that all new and renewing contracts are mapped within 90 days of inception of the contract in accordance with relevant SLA’s

To chase up all outstanding overdue Risks Written and Premium (where relevant) Bordereaux not received with brokers, Coverholders and within Portals.

To assist DU team staff with monthly committee reporting and provide reports as and when required based on Bordereaux management.

To be the day to day contact point for third party administrator queries emanating from bordereaux processing with business stakeholders and brokers.

To assist DUA Team Manager(s) with any ad-hoc reporting, analysis and assistance as may be necessary from time to time.
Qualifications

2+ years Insurance experience (within Delegated Underwriting - desired but not essential)

Work towards insurance professional qualifications desired.

Experience in a similar role within the insurance industry is highly desirable.

Excellent organisational skills.

Must demonstrate analytical skills. Must have Microsoft Excel skills; Pivot Tables, Vlookup’s, Sumif’s, Problem Solving Ability.

Must be numerate.

Must be an excellent communicator.

Must demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and take on new work tranches if and when required.

Languages skills: English is required (verbal and written)
