ROLE TITLE: DEIB Conversation Facilitator – Baltimore (Temp)

WHAT YOU’LL DO
DEIB Conversation Facilitators are responsible for facilitating equity-focused conversations over food in-person with groups of ~10-15 1st and 2nd year corps members. Facilitators will receive conversation guidance, engage in training, facilitate the ~1 hour conversation, and participate in a debrief. Conversations/meals will happen once in the winter (1/25/25) and once in the spring.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR (~5 hours/facilitation):

Internalize and prepare for DEIB conversations/meals, including preparing model reflections to share with corps members (1 hour)

Attend 1.5 hours of training and rehearsal

Facilitate DEIB conversations/meals (1.5 hours)

Spend 30 minutes to debrief the DEIB conversations/meals
YOUR EXPERIENCE
-
At least 3 years of professional work experience, with at least some experience in direct DEIB work and/or DEIB development with adults

At least 2 years of ECE-12 teaching experience with demonstrated student success (academic achievement, cultural competence, sociopolitical consciousness)

Exemplary DEIB facilitation with adults

Demonstrated success working across various lines of power and difference
YOUR COMPENSATION
The DEIB Conversation Facilitator role is compensated at an hourly rate throughout the entire commitment. The applicable rate for each U.S.-based role is based on where the employee works and is aligned to one of 3 tiers according to a cost of labor index in that geographic area. Hourly rates for this role are as follows:
Hourly rate – Tier A: $25.68

ROLE DURATION
The start date for this position is January 6, 2025. The DEIB Conversation Facilitators will host 2 events on January 25, 2025, and another in the Spring in the morning/afternoon.
