DCM is a Product Recall (PRI) and Contaminated Products insurance (CPI) underwriting team within Dual UK. DCM works with leading London specialist brokers and Lloyd’s capacity providers to offer world-class insurance solutions to companies based in the US, UK and around the world. This team of two requires the support of a well-qualified UA to help administer the growing book of business.

Role overview

The UA will work alongside the DCM underwriting team. In addition to providing administrative support, the UA will have the opportunity to grow in the role and learn our underwriting tools and methods.

The successful candidate will have a general awareness of the insurance industry and basic understanding of London market processes and procedures (i.e. Lloyd’s standards and systems). Previous work with or knowledge of PRI and CPI is an advantage but not a requirement.

Role responsibilities

  • Process submissions, quotes and contracts for new and renewal business.

  • Liaise with our Operations and Credit Control teams on open queries.

  • Manage broker policy administration requests.

  • Maintain an orderly account file system.

  • Assist with client and broker interaction preparation.

  • Assist with new and renewal account specific tasks which may include industry or company specific research.

  • Assist with internal reporting and external audit preparation.

  • Strong communication and analytical skills.

  • Desire to help build a new business.

  • Ability to manage day-to-day responsibilities independently.

  • Ability and desire to learn product specific coverages, forms, pricing, and market dynamics.
