Responsibilities

  • Design and develop smart manufacturing and AI solutions in advanced factory scheduling, optimization and simulation that enable the achievement of industry leading manufacturing capability.
  • Develop high-quality data analytics and applications that provides actionable insights for management and manufacturing teams.
  • Explore and apply new frontier ideas, concepts and technology to enable breakthrough solutions at Micron.
  • Work with management, different departments, and global manufacturing sites to identify optimization opportunities and deliver solutions to continuously improve production metrics.
  • Drive global collaboration, alignment, and benchmarking of scheduling and simulation solutions.

Requirements

  • Possess a drive to make a difference and a passion for exploring new frontiers.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, with a strong work ethic, able to work independently and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with logical approach.
  • Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, other technical disciplines, or equivalent professional work experience.
  • Proficient in C#, Python and SQL.
  • Knowledge and experience in optimization and CPLEX/Gurobi strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in reinforcement learning, machine learning and deep learning preferred.
  • Direct experience with factory scheduling, simulation, and application development preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with GCP, Snowflake, Visual studio, GIT, Azure DevOps preferred.
  • Able and willing to travel overseas
