This is a full-time role that can be based in one of our US hubs or remotely within the United States.
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join either Figma's Sales-Assisted Marketing team or our Finance team.
Sales-Assisted Marketing: We are looking for a Data Scientist to partner with our Marketing teams to accelerate growth at Figma. In this role, you will be responsible for building models to optimize our marketing efforts, uncovering insights to guide new strategies, and collaborating with a variety of cross functional peers to help leverage data throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of driving analytical projects as well as partnering closely with business peers to guide decision making.
Finance: The Finance team is focused on solving some of Figma’s most pressing business issues. The team is responsible for owning the company's budget and top level business objectives, driving annual and quarterly planning processes, forecasting future company growth, and performing financial analysis to inform our business strategy. You’ll be bringing a high level of rigor to the highest priority business issues and will interface regularly with senior leaders at the company. The ideal candidate is a great communicator with both technical and non technical counterparts, extremely detail oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity. Familiarity with financial data would be a huge plus.
What You’ll Do at Figma:
- Collaborate cross-functionally to understand existing problems and identify areas of impact for your team
- Understand user behavior within Figma through creation of new datasets, metrics, experimentation, etc and guide decision making
- Develop new techniques, datasets, tools that will enable answering previously unanswered questions and increasing rigor of analyses
- Design and maintain frameworks that are widely leveraged across the company
- Establish partnerships with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, Research, Design, Sales, and Marketing
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- 4+ years relevant work experience in Analytics or Data Science
- Experience working with financial data and metrics
- Experience supporting a Marketing team or similar function
- Fluency in SQL
- Proficiency in Python, R or similar scripting language
- Experience in distributed data processing systems (Hive, Redshift, Presto, Snowflake, etc)
- Firm knowledge around statistical methods, including forecasting
- Excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills
- A self-starting mentality along with strong communication and collaboration skills

Pay Transparency Disclosure
If based in Figma’s San Francisco or New York hub offices, this role has the annual base salary range stated below.
Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role), market demands, and specific work location. The listed range is a guideline, and the range for this role may be modified. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, the pay range is localized according to employee work location by a factor of between 80% and 100% of range. Annual Base Salary Range (SF/NY Hub):
$164,000—$338,000 USD
