Data Scientist - Generative AI

We are seeking a Data Scientist as part of our Generative AI team to build production-ready applications. Our team develops generative AI workflows, agents and agentic systems for automation and to enable innovative and customer-facing product features.

In this role, you will:

• Build robust and compliant generative AI (both language and vision) solutions, this includes building workflows agents and agentic systems, model selection, advanced prompt engineering, guardrails, as well as advanced testing and validation strategies.

• Collaborate on cutting-edge AI projects end-to-end: from applied research during discoveries and initial experiments, to building and demoing MVPs, developing advanced validation strategies to deployments to live.

• Work in an agile way and with experienced AI experts, data scientists, machine learning engineers, product managers and backend engineers to deliver impact and develop your skill-set further

What you need to be successful:

Background: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, ideally with a focus on engineering and quantitative disciplines including computer science, data science, mathematics/statistics or software engineering

• +1 years of professional experience in the prototyping, development and productionizing of machine learning/generative AI solutions

• Professional experience in the banking sector and knowledge of compliance requirements for ML/AI solutions will be preferred

Skills: 

• Very good understanding of common machine learning algorithms, deep learning principles and generative AI architectures

• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with generative AI frameworks, such as LangChain and LangGraph

• Experience with prompt engineering techniques, testing and validation strategies

• Strong software engineering skills, you are able to review and write production-ready code.

• Experience working with Amazon Bedrock is preferred

• You are creative, organised, self-motivated and willing to work in a diverse, agile team to participate in ambitious data science projects end-to-end

• You continuously learn and challenge the status quo: You are proactive in carrying out applied research around the latest advances in generative AI and machine learning 

• You are a team player who effectively collaborates with engineering and product teams to maximize the impact of your solutions

• Language skills: English full professional proficiency; Proficient knowledge of German, French, Italian or Spanish will be appreciated
