We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in statistical and analytical skills.

The role is to analyze clients’ risk portfolios, provide business insights to support clients’ business growth, and support our transaction negotiation in Asia Pacific region. The individual will connect to a network of experts globally.

This role will be based in Hong Kong. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:

• Responsible for collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing data from various internal sources.
• Create visualizations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements.
• Stay updated with global team for latest data strategy and tools.

• Oversee responses to client queries and concerns ensuring issues are resolved completely and promptly.

What you need to have: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R or SQL.
• Experience with data visualization tools, such as PowerBI.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Comfortable with conducting comparative analysis, managing large amounts of data in an efficient manner.  Ability to articulate complex and technical information in layman and concise ways through written and verbal communication.
• Outstanding project management skill, in planning ahead the different milestones to achieve and execute in a timely manner with strong commitment on quality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commercially astute and business sense. 
• Strong language capabilities in English
