Overview

This position is a full time hybrid summer internship based out of the Company's offices in Midtown Atlanta.
MedTrans Go's platform acts as a two-sided digital marketplace that matches healthcare facilities/systems ("customers") with businesses and individuals providing services like medical transportation and interpretation ("service partners").
MedTrans Go is an early-stage startup with room for growth! Compensation packages for this internship include a salary of $17-20/hour, commensurate with experience, and other benefits.
Qualifications
The right candidate for this role will be someone who is proactive, organized, agile, empathetic, and effective at communication.
- Superb interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Knowledge of AI trends and emerging AI/ML tools
- Understanding of how to arrange data to be utilized by AI/ML
- Ability to take a business oriented approach to integrating AI/ML into MTG
- Self-starter excited to research, learn, and explore
- Ability to be effective in fast-paced and dynamic environments
Potential Projects
- Research and evaluate AI/ML tools based on their applicability to MTG's needs
- Develop demos / proofs of concept for proposed AI/ML use cases
- Implement AI/ML models to assess and rank MTG partners
- Leverage geolocation data to generate novel concepts and insights
- Identify and integrate existing healthcare datasets with MTG data to produce innovative or predictive insights, such as analyzing CMS data on surgery patients and transportation
- Analyze customer data to fine-tune MTG's ideal customer profile

What We Do
MedTrans Go is a B2B healthcare appointment optimization marketplace solving the $150B problem of medical appointment cancellations in the US. Our tech-enabled portal provides healthcare facilities and others coordinating patient care access to a customizable suite of services to address the root causes of their cancellations in one easy-to-use, integrated digital platform.
The US healthcare system loses $150B due to missed appointments every year. More than 50% of these cancellations are due to lack of transportation or interpretation services. We created fully functioning web and mobile portals which utilize excess capacity of medical transportation providers, interpreters, and more through our custom-designed software for scheduling, dispatching, and tracking requests with built-in, integrated software for billing, invoicing, and record-keeping. Our mission is to reduce medical appointment cancellations and the burden these cancellations place on healthcare providers, as well as to remove barriers for all patients to access necessary healthcare services.
