About the Role
We are looking for a Data Platform & Operations Engineer to ensure the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of our enterprise data platforms. Working with the Data Platform & Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing cloud-based data infrastructure, implementing automation, and optimizing performance to support a scalable and resilient data ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the reliability and performance of cloud-based data platforms.
- Implement automation for infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and incident response.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to optimize data pipelines and platform performance.
- Ensure robust observability through logging, alerting, and monitoring solutions.
- Manage access controls, security configurations, and compliance within the data platform.
- Analyze system metrics to drive platform improvements and implement optimizations.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and standard methodologies to enhance our data stack.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on experience managing and optimizing data platforms in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong experience with dbt, Snowflake, and Python.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD standard processes.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, etc.).
- Knowledge of database performance tuning and data pipeline optimization.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
- Ability to collaborate multi-functionally.
