We are seeking a dynamic Regulatory Reporting Data Manager to lead a team of Data Analysts in automating regulatory reports. This pivotal role involves close collaboration with the Compliance team and senior stakeholders to translate regulatory requirements into actionable reporting processes. The manager will not only guide their team but also bridge the gap between Compliance and Data Engineering, ensuring robust and timely reporting. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the regulatory reporting function, drive process enhancements, and contribute to Ebury's global compliance efforts from their Madrid office.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Regulatory Reporting function within the data team and provide data analysts with clear guidance on their daily tasks
  • Work as a link between the Compliance and Regulatory teams to translate Regulatory requirements into clear reporting specifications for the team to automate into the data platform.
  • Manage downstream related processes ensuring timely reporting to regulators and other external third parties, such as auditors and banks
  • Work closely with the Data Engineering Manager and with Analytics Engineer Manager to ensure the Reporting solutions are automated and robust processes and controls are in place.
  • Provide clear roadmaps and timelines for the regulatory reporting function to senior management
  • Build specification documentation, process design and implementation
  • Present gap analysis in our systems and data platform of the required information
  • Review of existing processes and procedural enhancements

About you:

  • 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Regulatory Analyst, Product Owner or Data Analyst and 2+ years of experience managing teams
  • Proven Experience working with Regulatory Reporting teams or Compliance functions
  • Experience in leading and empowering teams to manage their workload and prioritise tasks.
  • Proven ability to liaise with stakeholders across senior levels
  • Superb communication skills, both with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Fluency in English (Spanish, a plus)
  • Financial Services Experience is desirable but not mandatory
