Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated Junior Data Engineer to join our data team. In this role, you will develop and maintain data pipelines using Apache Spark while working in a collaborative environment that values independence and creative problem-solving. This position offers significant growth opportunities through structured mentorship from senior team members.
- Develop and maintain data processing pipelines using Apache Spark
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews and implement feedback
- Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our data infrastructure
- Document technical processes and knowledge
- At least 1 year of experience for similar positions
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- Proficiency in Java programming (essential for learning Scala)
- Basic understanding of data processing concepts
- Willingness to learn Apache Spark and distributed computing technologies
- Familiarity with database systems (relational and/or NoSQL)
- Strong problem-solving attitude with eagerness to identify root causes rather than just symptoms
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
