Capgemini is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineer for a top 10 US Insurance Carrier.
In this role, you will be part of a team that prioritizes continuous improvement and optimization, with a strong focus on measuring and reporting performance and adherence.
Responsibilities:
- Building ETL process as well as reporting applications using Power BI to create new business functionalities as well to solve business problems.
- Writing Complex Queries, Stored Procedures, Views, User Defined Functions, Cursors and Common Table Expressions.
- Responding to new requests for reports/data understanding business objectives and processes; reviewing and refining technical requirements/User Stories.
- Extracting data directly from relational databases (e.g. Snowflake, SQL Server), data warehouses, or other data stores using SQL.
- Working under the direction of reporting manager on the successful delivery of projects, enhancements, and defects.
- Translating functional requirements into technical specifications for ETL development; developing source-to-target mappings and actively manage.
- Conducting performance tuning and query optimization of Snowflake database
- Troubleshooting production defects, performing root cause analysis, and providing guidance to team on the fixes.
- Supporting application unit testing for enhancements or system/infrastructure upgrades.
