In this role, you will:
- Build technical solutions that encompass data models, data integration, storage, and cloud-based data pipelines.
- Develop and maintain data lake infrastructure, data warehousing, data platforms, and data analytics tools.
- Design, build, and optimize high-volume batch and real-time data pipelines.
- Create data visualizations to empower our customers to maximize their data's potential.
- Implement data quality, governance, and security measures.
- Collaborate closely with top leadership, IT and business decision-makers, and data experts at our client organizations.
- Participate in data business development as a subject matter expert.
- Work alongside cross-functional teams, sharing knowledge and mentoring junior colleagues in their professional growth.
Skills and experience we are looking for in our new colleague:
- 8+ years of work experience in a data engineer role.
- Fluency in both Norwegian and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in modern cloud environments, particularly with Microsoft
- Fabric, Azure, and Databricks.
- Hands-on experience with modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or Snowflake.
- Solid programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Java.
- Experience with data analytics and visualization tools is highly valuable.
- Understanding of metadata management, data lineage, and data glossaries is a plus.
- Proven hands-on experience in building high-volume batch and real-time data pipelines.
- Familiarity with modern data products and agile development, including DevOps and DataOps concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a keen interest in data sales as a subject matter expert.
- A desire to leverage AI-based solutions and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
