Job Summary
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will contribute and help to lead the design, development, integrations, and management of client’s large scale data solutions while supporting the strategic architectural vision of quality, scalability, performance, and function.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, integrate, and manage client’s large scale data solutions including data storage, data modeling, ETL, data querying, and reporting;
- Staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with, and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring;
- Deliver robust cloud-based solutions and migrate solutions from SQL Server;
- Lead in the research, evaluation, operational usage and building of relational and non-SQL solutions;
- Utilize programming languages like Python, PySpark and a variety of AWS tools and services;
Essential Skills
- Professional data engineering experience;
- Experience in at least 2 of the following modern languages: .Net, Python, PySpark, Scala, Java, SQL;
- Experience with AWS;
- Experience in Open-Source frameworks;
- Experience in Agile practices;
- Experience with AWS Glue, Firehouse, and Lake Formation.
Highly Desirable Skills
- Experience with AWS Redshift/Athena/S3;
- Experience with SQL Server.
