As a core member of Accolade’s data platform team, you will be designing, building, and delivering V1 cloud-native, service-oriented products to meet the growth trajectory of the company in data ingestion, processing, and business intelligence needs. You are expected to work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into world-class software with the latest technologies.
 A day in the life…
We are seeking a Junior Databricks Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As a Junior Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Databricks infrastructure that supports our data analytics platform. This includes managing the compute and storage resources, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting issues that arise.

  • Support the design and implementation of the Databricks infrastructure to support our data analytics platform.
  • Assist with configuring and managing the compute and storage resources, including clusters, nodes, and disks.
  • Monitor system performance and help identify and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and developers to understand their requirements and optimize the infrastructure accordingly.
  • Work with other teams to ensure the smooth integration of the Databricks infrastructure with other systems and applications.
  • Automate processes and workflows to improve efficiency.

What we are looking for…

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Around 2-3 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining Databricks infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing, particularly in AWS or Azure.
  • Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python or another scripting language.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and machine learning concepts is a plus.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
