Vibes is looking for a Data Engineer to build new data offerings as we expand our Marketing and Aggregation platforms. The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced Data Engineer, looking to use cloud native technologies to build Data and Analytics offerings.

This is a full-time, hybrid position based in the greater Chicago metro area, reporting to the Vice President of Data & Analytics. In 2024, Vibes was recognized as a Built In Best Hybrid Place to Work.

Responsibilities

• Build on our ETL processes and API based analytics/reporting data offerings as we expand our platform
• Expand, upgrade, and scale our current data pipelines and warehouse data model as we grow our offerings, which include RCS and new intelligent marketing systems
• Create interfaces (batch/streaming pipelines, APIs, etc) to enable new Data Science services

Requirements & Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience as a data engineer
• Working knowledge of modern streaming and batch ETL processes and cloud-based infrastructures (preferably AWS)
• Data pipeline expertise setting up systems that enable data scientists to quickly build, test, and optimize models
• Comfortable Data modeling for analytic ecosystems
• Expertise in programming languages, preferably Python
• Able to build reusable frameworks for data ingestion and streaming analytic solutions using technologies such as Kinesis, Kafka or Apache Spark
• Excellent collaboration and cross functional working skills
• Developing data pipelines using Airflow or similar technology
• Designing and developing data storage systems using Snowflake or similar technology
• Using ETL technologies, including traditional RDBMS and structureless solutions
• Experience using Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tools

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this role is $115,000 to $140,000. Final compensation will be determined by factors such as relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
