Job Description
Sutherland is seeking a leadership-oriented and self-motivated person to join us as a Trust/Compliance & Safety Manager. We are a group of driven and hard-working individuals. Qualifications
Responsibilities
- Safeguard the entity from non-compliance with laws and regulations
- Protect the entity from using resources for illegal activities
- Establish and maintain effective compliance risk management and control systems, regulatory monitoring and reporting, and sanctions
- Provide timely advice on relevant changes in the regulatory environment
- Promote integrity in the organization
- Assess customer risks, investigate transaction patterns, and report irregularities
- Foster a culture of compliance
- Ensure that all employees are trained on laws and regulations
- Actively collaborate with operational and sales stakeholders to ensure teamwork and compliance with regulations and laws
- Report when high compliance risk issues are identified
- Keep the regulatory calendar updated and meet deadlines
Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Risk management experience
- Experience in managing relations with regulatory bodies
- Advanced knowledge of applicable regulations in the region
Skills
- Ability to assess compliance and prepare required reports
- Ability to interpret and analyze data, and problem-solve
- Ability to manage interpersonal relationships
Education
- Bachelor's degree in law, finance, business management, or a related field
