Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Data Centre Lead to manage our enterprise and colocation data centre operations. The successful candidate will oversee the strategic planning, operations, and maintenance of our data centre infrastructure, ensuring high availability, efficiency, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:

1. Develop and implement data centre strategies aligned with business objectives.
2. Conduct capacity planning and forecasting for data centre resources.
3. Collaborate with IT stakeholders to ensure data centre infrastructure meets business requirements.
Operations Management:
1. Oversee day-to-day data centre operations, including monitoring, incident management, and problem resolution.
2. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies.
3. Manage data centre security, access control, and environmental systems.
Colocation Management:
1. Build and maintain relationships with colocation providers.
2. Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs).
3. Ensure compliance with colocation provider requirements.
Team Management:
1. Lead a team of data centre managers, engineers and technicians.
2. Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills.
3. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Technical Expertise:
1. Expertise in data centre design, operations, and maintenance.
2. Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and cooling systems.
3. Familiarity with data centre infrastructure management (DCIM) tools.
4. Understanding of industry standards (e.g., TIA-942, ISO 27001).
Financial Management:
1. Manage data centre budgets and financial planning.
2. Track and optimize operational expenses (OPEX).
3. Ensure cost-effective solutions for data centre infrastructure.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in data centre operations and management.
- Proven experience in managing enterprise and colocation data centres.
- Leadership experience in managing teams.
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- ITIL certification desirable.
Certifications:
- Data Centre Certified Expert (DCCE) or equivalent.
- Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP) or equivalent.

Education

Bachelor's Degree: Information Technology
