Job Summary:
The Data Analytics Modeler will work alongside project team leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs) help ensure the successful rollout of financial dashboards to end users as well as the sustainment of the Oracle ERP technology and financials modules and ensures functional and configuration knowledge and manages client relationships.
Potential candidates must have experience in Oracle Federal Financials, Department of Defense Financial Management, and full life-cycle implementation. The successful candidate will interact with the functional teams (Procure-to-Pay, Orders-to-Cash, Budget-to-Report, Projects, or Customer Support) and end users in support of the creation and sustainment of financial dashboards. The candidate will provide business process reengineering (BPR) assistance and help the teams through agreed upon phases of project governance, problem solving, and training.
Job Duties/Responsibilities (List not all inclusive):
- Develops Dashboards and User Facing Products in Microsoft Power Platform
- Develops strategies to identify areas of opportunity to optimize statistical efficiency and quality of accounting data
- Performs financial data collection through available tools (Discoverer, OBIEE, and APEX)
- Analyzes/Interprets data and recommends corrective (preventative) actions
- Identifies accounting anomalies and recommends corrective (preventative) actions
- Monitors unposted transactions and recommends corrective (preventative) actions
- Documents Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to correct identified anomalies
- Performs/Processes actions to correct identified anomalies
- Researches trouble tickets to determine course of action - explain, resolve, coordinate and transfers to the appropriate team, or sends to triage for system integrator (SI) resolution
- Understands issues and analyzes root causes through direct customer interaction
- Brings expertise in Oracle based solution to resolve complex issues and cross functional issues
- Communicates with clients effectively in order to resolve customer issues
- Leverages Oracle Federal Financials functionality and domain knowledge to assist in solution development
Qualifications:
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Power Platform (PowerBI, PowerAutomate, Power Apps, etc.) and proficient with MS Office Suite (SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio)
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to schedule and manage tasks effectively
- Meets U.S. citizenship and work eligibility requirements for federal contractors
- Must be willing and able to travel as required
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Depatment of Defense (DOD) Secret level or higher clearance
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field required; master's preferred (from an accredited college or university)
- Minimum 5 years proven experience in BI/Data Analytics required
- Experience in Statistics preferred
- Experience in Machine learning preferred
- Experience in Computer Programming preferred
- Experience with Oracle e-Business Suite (eBS) 11i and R12 preferred
- Knowledge of Air Force legacy systems such as the Automated Funds Management (AFM), Civilian Pay Accounting Interface System (CPAIS), Central Procurement Accounting System (CPAS), Commanders’ Resource Integration System (CRIS), General Accounting and Finance System Base Level (GAFS-BL), General Accounting and Finance System Re-Engineered (GAFS-R), Integrated Accounts Payable System (IAPS), Job Order Cost Accounting System II (JOCAS II), Standard Base Supply System (SBSS), Standard Materiel Accounting System (SMAS), and Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) preferred
- Understanding of the Standard Financial Information Structure (SFIS) and the United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL) preferred
