Data Analytics Marketing Intern, –PBR – Marketing

Headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, PBR was founded in 1992 by a group of 20 visionary bull riders who broke away from the traditional rodeo scene, seeking mainstream attention, new riches and a livelihood for future generations of cowboys for the most popular discipline in rodeo, bull riding.

More than 500 bull riders from around the world including the United States, Australia, Brazil, Canada and Mexico hold PBR memberships. They compete in more than 200 bull riding events each year on the nationally-televised Unleash The Beast, Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour and Touring Pro Division, in addition to those held by international divisions in Australia, Brazil, Canada and Mexico.

Collectively, PBR broadcasts reach more than 405MM households in more than 91 territories.

PBR has rapidly transformed one of the fastest growing sports in America into a worldwide phenomenon.

With cowboys continuing to enter the mainstream, extreme sports featuring jaw-dropping bursts of action all night long growing in popularity, world class event production, PBR’s reach increasing across broadcast, cable and digital channels, and fan support continuing to grow, the sport’s future is very bright.

Position Summary/Objective:

The purpose of this position is to help the individual gain an understanding of marketing analytics within a professional sports organization.  The intern will assist with departmental needs including market analysis, campaign performance metric analysis across all marketing verticals (digital, email, etc.), compilation of best practices along with other special projects. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in analyzing all marketing efforts nationwide focusing on PBR Teams
  • Complete detailed breakdown of market demographics and strategies
  • Aide in the creation, preparation and distribution of campaign metrics, recommendations and best practices
  • Evaluation of sales strategies and promotional marketing efforts
  • Gain experience in preparing briefs and presenting to leadership
  • Other duties assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must be proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
  • Must possess a strong administrative background with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Must maintain a positive and professional manner at all times
  • Use independent judgement
  • Enrolled into an accredited university or college

Program Details

We offer internship opportunities within our global sports and entertainment businesses, including global cultural marketing agency 160/90; sports rights management, production, and digital content leader IMG (Rights, FC Diez, Seven League); global licensing business IMG Licensing; premium hospitality and live experiences leader On Location, Professional Bull Riders (PBR), and entertainment agency WME (including WME Sports and Fashion). Locations include New York City, Nashville, St. Louis, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Dallas, Chicago, London, and Paris. All internships are in the office and in-person, unless otherwise noted.

In addition to hands-on experience and exposure to the global sports and entertainment industry, interns participate in events such as welcome/farewell sessions, a speaker series featuring company leaders, and career training workshops addressing everything from LinkedIn profile enhancement to resume building, interviewing skills, and networking.

Internships are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, or standard local working hours in the intern location.
