SUMMARY:
The Data Analytics Intern will be responsible for supporting the Director of Mining Intelligence in various data engineering tasks. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data analytics and engineering and MIS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Writing SQL queries to extract and manipulate data
- Conducting data analysis to identify trends and insights
- Creating dashboards to visualize data and support decision-making
- Collaborating with team members on data engineering projects
- Utilizing tools such as Python, SQL, Airflow, BigQuery, Redshift, Postgres, and Kafka
- Supporting the team with administrative tasks as needed

- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Familiarity with data engineering tools (e.g., Airflow, BigQuery, Redshift, Postgres, Kafka)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
