General Summary:
The Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing data, building reports, and communicating strategic insights based off their analyses. This role works in partnership with cross-functional teams to effectively analyze data and translate it into actionable and self-service reports to be utilized by the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides support to cross-functional teams, with a high attention to detail
- Researches, analyzes, and documents findings
- May influence others through the explanation of facts, policies, and practices
- Builds, documents, analyzes, and communicates product metrics, Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), and reports to various leaders throughout the organization
- Designs and builds various reports and reporting dashboards
- Ensures data is organized, captured, and designed to support business needs
- Ensures reports are fulfilling user requirements, efficiently designed, and easy to support and maintain
- Defines recommended changes to existing reporting environments in alignment with current business needs and direction
- Translates data into digestible reports for technical and non-technical audiences
- Analyzes reporting and analysis requirements, documents existing processes, and recommends solutions

- Works independently on projects and processes with general supervision
- Practical knowledge of applicable work area
- Ability to situationally adapt and understand new technology/processes as per business requirement
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, and other reporting design tools
- Ability to communicate complex data and technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Understanding of relational databases and data processing concepts
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple, complex projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Excel and Access
Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of related experience
