About the role:
Samsara Technologies India Private Limited is looking to hire for the Data Analyst role which sits within our Business Technology team and will be a key contributor who will be enabling data foundation for Samsara. This role will work with business and biztech engineering to make sure of data discovery, quality, governance, metrics, dashboards and overall data health.
The Data Analyst's mission is to improve data accessibility and accuracy to drive workflow automation, trend customer data to spot issues/opportunity areas, build internal dashboards, summarize key metrics, administer systems and operations and build internal system integrations to centralize critical data points.
This role requires one's availability working during the East Coast hours. This would be a Bangalore Based Remote Job.

In this role, you will:
- You will be responsible for analyzing, cleansing, and preparing data.
- Supporting business and biztech teams with reports and dashboards
- Providing solutioning for data issues
- Communicate regularly on program/project plans, progress, blockers, and risks to cross-functional stakeholders, sponsors, and vendors
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara's cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
- Tools: Databricks, AWS, Tableau, Big Query,and Fivetran
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Bachelor Degree in a related field
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Data Analysis.
- Strong mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize and evaluate data
- Knowledge of programming languages like SQL and Python
- Technical proficiency regarding database design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation.
- Experience in handling reporting software like Tableau, programming (Python or ETL frameworks), databases
- Knowledge of how to create and apply the most accurate algorithms to datasets in order to find solutions
- Adept at queries, writing reports, and making presentations
An ideal candidate also has:
Experience with cloud technologies, Databricks, AWS, Databricks reporting and dashboards
