Job Description
The Role
Partnering with product teams, you will be delivering actionable insights using rich datasets while collaborating with a high calibre team of data analysts. You will analyse SEEK's online traffic and promote data driven decision making that improves the way candidates and hirers connect, specifically SEEK’s ability to acquire new customers through SEA (Search Engine Acquisition)/SEO (Search Engine Optimisation).
The primary purpose of this role is to partner with Product Managers responsible for Search Engine Acquisition (and Optimisation), conducting analytics that helps them understand their products and customers, and plan for future changes that improve their customer’s experience.
This role is flawless for a high-quality data analyst who wants to have a big impact partnering with a new team improving SEEK’s SEO/SEA solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with key collaborators in the product team to bring actionable insight to business decisions
- Collaborate with team members to identify, monitor, and understand important metrics using dashboards and analysis. Specifically, collaborate with Product Managers responsible for SEO/SEA to figure out success of our initiatives in that space.
- Work in collaboration with technical teams to ensure that data is accurate and fit for purpose
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong SQL is essential
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
- Effective in communicating findings and articulating insights
- Highly developed curiosity and the ability to drive and uncover insights and passion for data
- Well-developed communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and persuade, build and maintain relationships
- An understanding of A/B testing and associated statistical techniques, including the critical thinking required to balance trade-offs between metrics
Other Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Experience with Tableau is helpful but not essential
- Strong Excel is advantageous
- Strong Python skills or scripting is advantageous
- Search (SEO/SEM) or broader Digital Marketing experience is desirable including an understanding of associated metrics and familiarity with Google Search Console, Looker Studio and Google Analytics

The analytics team has four key areas that contain specialists in Product Analytics, Experimentation, Competitor Analytics, and Data. This position will collaborate with all areas including the broader Product, Design, and Strategy teams
