As a Cyber Lead, you will lead the implementation of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), cloud security best practices, and continuous threat monitoring. Your role will ensure that all IT operations, whether on-premises or cloud-based, align with federal cybersecurity frameworks while remaining agile and scalable. You will work closely with infrastructure and operations teams to detect vulnerabilities, enforce security policies, and proactively mitigate risks before they become issues. Responsibilities:

- Lead cybersecurity initiatives, enforcing security policies and compliance across enterprise systems.

- Develop and implement risk management strategies, including vulnerability scanning and patch management.

- Work with system administrators to address security findings and apply remediations.

- Monitor security logs and enforce incident response procedures.

- Conduct penetration testing and security assessments for infrastructure components.

- Ensure secure configuration baselines for all new and existing systems.

- Support ATO processes for new technologies and cloud service adoption.

- Develop cybersecurity training and awareness programs.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 8+ years of experience in managing data centers, modernization environments, or similar work experience.

- Knowledge of government and industry-specific regulations (such as FISMA, FedRAMP, HIPAA) and experience in conducting audits, ensuring systems meet compliance requirements, and addressing security gaps.

- Proven experience in developing and executing incident response plans, analyzing security breaches, and providing detailed reports to both internal and government stakeholders.

- Experience in implementing and managing access controls, user authentication, role-based access, and identity management systems to ensure system integrity and protect against unauthorized access.

- In-depth knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS) and hands-on experience with security tools for monitoring, intrusion detection, vulnerability management, and threat mitigation.

- Excellent leadership and communication skills

- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to solve complex technical challenges

- Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance as required for program performance and access to sensitive information.
