About the role:

The Payment Assistant Sales & Adoption Specialist is committed to delivering an exceptional customer sales and onboarding experience for existing customers to help them receive value and drive adoption of Blackbaud’s new product line, Payment Assistant. As an early member of the Blackbaud Payments Assistant Sales Team, the Sales and Adoption Specialist will be responsible for working with existing customers as well as identifying and penetrating other major accounts within an assigned territory. You will be responsible for orchestrating a best-in-class customer payment transaction experience from Pre-Sales to Go Live of payment processing. You will be responsible for ensuring customers are appropriately onboarded and have the tools necessary that lead to early adoption and usage of our Payment Assistant offering.  You will also contribute to the evolution of the product including working cross-functionally to improve the sales process and implementation, ideating on how to improve the adoption experience, and collect feedback from customers.  

What you’ll do:

  • Manage sales activities to exceed assigned revenue objectives.
  • Execute aggressively on the plan to position Blackbaud as solution of choice and to promote quick adoption.
  • Engage with new and existing customers through 1:1 and 1: many initiatives to ensure they are ready for implementation, trained, live, and adopting quickly.
  • Become a 'trusted business advisor' and establish Executive relationships at senior levels within client accounts by providing tactical and strategic plans with specific measurable time frames to penetrate an account.
  • Provide and or coordinate appropriate resources such as online demonstrations and proposals when needed to educate clients and advance sales cycles.
  • Foster internal collaboration with Software Sales, Customer Success, Professional Services, Support and Product to provide the customer with a continuous connected experience focused on providing delight and value
  • Define and monitor usage and data insights to provide additional guidance and follow-up when risk is present. Identify and report issues that impact the customer experience.
  • Follow up on leads into accounts to establish additional relationships. Collaborate with Client Success Managers to generate additional revenue from existing client base.
  • Understand customer’s priorities and desired outcomes to provide strategic recommendations on how they can best leverage their solutions.
  • Build and maintain an accurate pipeline and timely sales forecasts to management.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer industry trends.

What you'll bring:

Our ideal candidate genuinely enjoys interacting with others and has a passion to provide an outstanding customer experience.  The Payment Assistant Sales & Adoption Specialist is expected to be professional, self-motivated, results-oriented, and be able to provide a high level of customer satisfaction to both internal and external customers. 

  • 2+ years’ experience in positioning and selling software with payments or non-profit experience a plus
  • Knowledge and experience working within a solution-selling or consultative selling methodology.
  • Experience selling/navigating a complex sale.
  • Experience in both acquiring new business and cultivating existing relationships for business.
  • A proven track record of consistent over quota achievement within a solutions software vendor.
  • Entrepreneurial drive and work ethic.

The starting base salary and annual proposed commission is $66,000.00 to $85,000.00. Blackbaud may pay more or less based on employee qualifications, market value, sales quota, Company finances, and other operational considerations.
