Our paid internship is more than just gaining experience—it’s about becoming an integral part of our Customer Success Management teamAs the Customer Success Management Intern, you will contribute to the mission of ensuring our end-user customers maximize the adoption and value from our software solutions and achieve high ongoing satisfaction. This internship offers a hands-on experience on the customer success management team, as it continues to execute engagement with customers, while implementing and rolling out software industry customer success management best practice processes, playbooks and metrics. Being on the ground floor with this team will allow you to witness and actively contribute to the operationalization of our customer success management function. Plus, you’ll have the chance to network with peers and InterSystems staff within the office and throughout our greater city during a wide variety of organized social events.

 Responsibilities include: 

  • Completing Customer Success Management onboarding process. This includes reviewing existing documentation and metrics that will be provided to you and preparing questions and potential improvement suggestions for discussion with the CSM team 
  • Participating in weekly CSM team cadence and brainstorming meetings, and shadow CSM(s) on occasional customer meetings 
  • Leading and contributing to assigned key CSM initiatives which may include one or more of the following topics: 
    • Customer Health and Fitness Metric Dashboard(s) and Monitoring Process 
    • Defining stakeholder requirements to build tools, such as to measure and report on customers’ performance and status 
    • CSM Operational Reporting and Analysis 
    • Customer-Engagement Activity and Status Reporting 
    • Drafting CSM Playbooks (Mutual Success Plan, Executive /Quarterly Business Reviews (E or QBRs), etc.
    • Customer Net Billing Retention Rate (NBRR) baseline analysis 
    • CSM knowledge base organization, articles, and training materials 
  • Assist with other tasks assigned by the Customer Success team
  • Collaborate and coordinate across organizations to drive projects to completion
  • Prepare and present summary of your CSM experience, key learnings, and improvement recommendations at the end of your internship 

Position Requirements:

  • Able to be in-person at our Boston, MA office from Tuesday, May 27, 2025 through Friday, August 15, 2025
  • Are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program  
  • Are preferably enrolled in business, STEM, or healthcare-related majors 
  • Preferably has some experience coding in a language such as SQL  
  • Demonstrate initiative through academic excellence, extra-curricular activities, or work experience 
  • Have a collaborative mindset 
  • Show strong communication and analytic skills
  • Have experience with Microsoft Excel and other Office products 

Program Details: 

  • Start Date: Tuesday, May 27, 2025 – Ensure availability for this kickoff date, as all interns must start at this time.
  • Duration: 12 Weeks – Internships will conclude on Friday, August 15, 2025
