About the Role
• This position Customer Reliability Manager is within HARMAN’s Automotive division.
• The customer reliability manager is responsible for managing the customer relationship between Harman validation, assigned project teams and the customer.
• Being a link between the project team, Haman validation and the customer.
• Being single point of contact for the project teams related to HW qualification.
Your Team
• This position does not have any direct reports; however, it does provide supervisory inputs to the entire validation team associated with its assigned customer.
• The position is the “project manager” for our product reliability team.
What You Will Do
• Responsibility for managing the customer relationship between Harman and the assigned customer.
• Manage outsourced validation activities associated with development and ongoing production.
• Excellent liaison between CRM team, project teams and product reliability leadership.
• Develop and perform review on a very high level and obtain approvals (internal and external) for validation plans and schedules.
• Request, Review and approve outsourced validation plans.
• Negotiate modified validation plans with customer.
• Considering engineering input, develop, negotiate and document accelerated test plans when necessary.
• Develop validation scope when parts from multiple manufacturing sites must be tested.
• Ensure proper coverage of all locations while minimizing test volume.
• Seek clarification/negotiation of customer validation specifications.
• Manage the coordination of different departments domestically and internationally.
• Help with outsourced validation activities associated with development and ongoing production.
Participate in requirements reviews, design reviews, and other activities in the framework of an Agile/Scrum development process.
• Become the absolute Harman expert regarding specific customer specifications and expectations.
• Being responsible for RFQ estimations/calculations when it comes to validation based on customer requirements.
• Review test requests in Test Vision, get clarifications, understand the requirements, and then assign appropriate validation team members.
• Responsible for the development of test plans for partial (delta) validations, re-validation, or accelerated testing to satisfy both the Customer, Requester, and the Laboratory requirements for accreditation.
• Responsible of validation readiness review “VRR” to check that everything is ready before start validation tests.
• Arrange customer or requester visits to laboratories to witness testing, results, or samples in coordination with the respective Lab Manager.
• Track project budget for HW validation topics
What You Need
• BSEE, BSEET, BSCS, BS Physics or equivalent experience
8 years in an engineering or engineering management role, 5 years minimum in a validation role with Environmental qualification and electrical qualification, or related experience. Automotive industry background highly desirable.

• Familiar with TS16949, ISO17025 standard, internal/external certification auditor is a desire.
• Good knowledge of PPAP, DFMEA, MSA.
• Well trained in problem solving methodology.
• Sufficient knowledge at project workflow, experience of APQP is a desire.
• Experience of working with foreign people is a plus.

Salary Ranges:
$ 105,000 - $ 154,000
