At Salesloft, our Customer Marketing Manager will be pivotal to our company’s success. You will be a key member of our fast-growing and high-performing Product Marketing Team and will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our customers are engaged, motivated, and recognized as key advocates of our brand. 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking a customer-centric, results-oriented marketer who is laser-focused on building programs to identify, cultivate, and grow a community of advocates to help our teams achieve their revenue targets. With a passion for storytelling and top-notch communication skills, you’ll translate our brand messaging into compelling customer narratives and experiences that resonate and drive loyalty. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage our Customer Advisory Board (CAB) program, including coordinating touchpoints, building strong, lasting relationships with members and ensuring their voices are represented in key company decisions., and partnering with event marketing to execute on our annual in-person event.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pool of customer references to support sales teams in securing new business opportunities. You’ll collaborate with sales leaders to align references with prospect profiles, ensuring that reference calls and meetings provide meaningful and impactful insights for potential customers.
  • Oversee and scale our customer advocacy program, from identifying new advocates to nurturing existing ones. You’ll build and execute strategies to engage customers through a variety of initiatives, such as events and email campaigns, and create opportunities for customers to share their success stories publicly.
  • Work closely with the marketing, sales, and analyst relations teams to identify and secure customer speakers for various events and opportunities. Whether it's for webinars, conferences, or analyst briefings, you’ll help our customers share their experiences and insights, amplifying the impact of our brand while building strong customer relationships.
  • Capture and promote our customers' success stories by producing high-quality case studies, blogs, and video testimonials. You will collaborate with customers to craft compelling narratives, highlighting the business value and impact of our solutions, and work with the content team to ensure these stories reach the right audiences.


THE TEAM:

Salesloft’s Customer Marketing team is comprised of seasoned and up-and-coming B2B marketing professionals who are all aligned to the company’s mission to fundamentally transform the way buyers and sellers drive repeatable outcomes. THE SKILL SET:

  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience in customer marketing or a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience managing complex projects, such as CAB programs, with a proven ability to prioritize, multitask, and deliver high-quality work
  • Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration and a knack for relationship building, particularly with executive-level stakeholders
  • Adaptability and resiliency 
  • Proven ability to make strong connections and overcome rejection to achieve results

WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL:

  • Attend Salesloft’s New Hire Orientation, where you will learn our Salesloft story and understand what makes our “Lofters” unique 
  • Begin 1:1s with your manager, meet your new team, and get to know key stakeholders across the department
  • Set your OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) with your manager, identify early priorities, and develop a clear action plan to achieve them
  • Develop a clear understanding of existing customer programs to understand their goals, current state, and areas for growth

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Gain a strong grasp of our product’s key features, benefits, and use cases, enabling you to hold informed conversations with customers and understand their success stories
  • Develop a deep familiarity with our existing customer content and partner with the content team to produce and distribute compelling, high-quality customer success stories and content
  • Build and implement scalable processes for identifying, nurturing, and managing customer advocates, ensuring a steady pipeline of engaged advocates and fulfilling references for our sales organization
  • Collaborate with your team to begin planning for upcoming CAB touchpoints and help strengthen relationships with CAB members 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for cross-functional teams seeking customer insights and support, securing customers for webinars, speaking engagements, and analyst touchpoints

WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Successfully execute your first Customer Advisory Board event
  • Develop an efficient, ongoing collaboration framework with sales, customer success, and product teams to ensure customer stories and advocacy insights are leveraged throughout the organization, creating alignment on customer messaging and maximizing business impact
  • Achieve your OKRs, demonstrating measurable impact on revenue, customer retention, and brand awareness, and setting the stage for ongoing program evolution and growth

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
The total compensation package for this position may also include performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
