Gusto is seeking experts who thrive in a fast-paced, solutions-based call center environment who are interested in being considered for future start dates in 2025. In these positions, you will own each customer experience from start to finish, ensuring exceptional service and accurate resolution. You will guide our customers through our product features and act as their advocate internally to influence our product decisions and roadmap. The Customer Care team is the linchpin of our world-class customer experience. With their passion, insight, and customer advocacy, this team has helped us maintain a high NPS score while serving tens of thousands of businesses

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by interacting with small business owners to resolve inquiries via email, chat, and live phone shifts. 
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/features and be able to consistently communicate these updates to customers in a way that ensures an exceptional customer experience.
  • Expand your critical thinking skills and knowledge in order to answer progressively more challenging/complex customer inquiries.
  • Work in close collaboration with other advocates as well as collaborate across the company in order to influence product development.
  • Deliver exemplary customer service using a “search first” mentality. 

Positions available in the future range from entry level to senior account advocates, supporting payroll, health insurance benefits, and general customer support. Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Entry to mid-level advocates: 6 months - 4 years of work experience in a customer-facing role or contact center.
  • Senior-level advocates: 4 -6 years of work experience in a customer-facing role or contact center with payroll and/or health insurance benefits experience.
  • Someone ready to wear multiple hats, inspire those around you and work collectively while priding yourself in maintaining a professional brand and image.
  • A proactive problem solver with incredible critical thinking skills, comfortable with a role heavy in customer interaction.
  • Conflict resolution skills and a personality that thrives in a dynamic environment.
  • Great written and verbal communicator, someone who loves writing and talking about technical concepts to a wide range of audiences.
  • Understands the importance of listening to the customer before delivering service.

Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 days per week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.

Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas. 

When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required.
