Introduction to the job
You will co-lead the operational excellence transformation within Customer Support together with local management towards sustainable improvement, aiming at an overall breakthrough on cost effectiveness and inventory reduction according to the deployment roadmap. You will provide support to the line organization through planning, execution and providing follow up on the deployment activities. Co-ordinate the necessary training and coaching to employees, including leadership teams, and build internal capabilities through train-the-trainer concepts. The results of the deployment (deliverables, business impact and mindset change) are owned by the management team.
You will respectfully challenge the status quo and act as a role model for Lean thinking, and thereby act as a change agent to help ASML’s Customer Support sector in the transformation towards an operational excellence organization.
Role and responsibilities
Identifying improvement opportunities: Analyzing current processes to pinpoint areas for potential optimization, including cost reduction, quality enhancement, or cycle time reduction.
Project planning and execution: Developing project plans with clear goals, timelines, and deliverables, assigning tasks to team members, and monitoring progress against the plan.
Data analysis:
Gathering and interpreting data to identify root causes of problems and measure the effectiveness of implemented improvements.
Project leadership:
Facilitating cross-functional teams, encouraging participation, and coaching team members on continuous improvement methodologies.
Change management:
Communicating proposed changes clearly to stakeholders, addressing concerns, and ensuring smooth transition to new processes.
Metrics and reporting:
Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of improvement initiatives and present findings to leadership.
Business process management: With analyzing, designing, implementing, and monitoring an organization's business processes to identify areas for improvement, optimize efficiency, and achieve strategic goals
Education and experience
- Master degree with 7 yrs experience in semiconductor experience (e.g. line, engineering), has a general understanding of technical topics (through technical background or job experience).
- A passion for Continuous Improvement and exhibits a ‘there must be a better way, why don’t we try …’ mentality, can think outside the box;
- Experience in Lean deployment or application is an absolute plus, as well as experience in Coaching
- Additional relevant experience with continuous improvement methods (problem solving, six sigma) or change/ project management experience;
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Expertise in continuous improvement methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
