In 2018, the team successfully introduced the pioneering neobank, Space, in Georgia. Building upon this success, subsequent efforts were directed towards the creation and launch of the fully digital bank in Uzbekistan, TBC UZ, in 2020. Role overview:
The Portfolio Analyst in Credit Risk is responsible for continuously monitoring and analyzing the bank’s loan portfolio. This includes assessing changes in portfolio volume, credit risk, delinquency trends, and shifts in customer behavior. The analyst will utilize advanced forecasting and modeling techniques to predict key risk metrics, including PAR (Portfolio at Risk), COR (Cost of Risk), and provisioning requirements, helping inform risk strategies and ensure effective portfolio management.
Your Role:
• Regularly analyze credit portfolio composition, volume trends, and credit risk changes.
• Monitor early warning signals and trends in delinquency and behavioral shifts to identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Continuously monitor key risk metrics (PAR, COR, and provisioning requirements) and report deviations from established benchmarks.
• Track portfolio quality indicators, assessing monthly, quarterly, and annual changes in risk exposure.
• Develop and maintain forecasting models for key credit risk metrics, including PAR, COR, and reserves, to ensure timely insight into potential risk exposure.
• Apply advanced statistical methods to model portfolio risk and predict future credit losses.
• Prepare regular reports on portfolio trends, risk indicators, and forecasted metrics, providing actionable insights for the Credit Risk team and senior management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate findings and support strategic initiatives.
• Analyze shifts in customer behavior and macroeconomic factors affecting portfolio performance.
• Identify and monitor emerging trends in delinquencies and customer behavior to guide portfolio management strategies.

• Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and visualizations.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
• Experience working in a retail bank's credit risk department would be an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex findings in English and Russian.
• Proactive and self-motivated, demonstrating the capability to excel both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
