Job Scope:
We are recruiting for a highly engaged business development professional focused on strategically aligning our customer’s needs with FLS Service Business Line opportunities, to ultimately de-risk our customer's mining operations and support FLS’s expansion objectives.
This position is focused on building and managing relationships, new market opportunities with existing customers and entry strategies with new customers, to significantly grow the revenue base for our current and future product offerings in the nominated geographic Region
Your responsibility:
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify potential new customers through various channels such as market research, networking, industry events, and cold outreach. Strategic role focused on developing entry strategies & partnerships. Be responsible for new business development by prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business
- Customer Engagement: Initiate contact and establish relationships with key decision-makers within target organizations. Conduct meetings, presentations, and negotiations to advance the sales process.
- Pipeline Management: Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, track progress, and regularly update the CRM system with accurate and detailed information on prospects and activities.
- Sales Strategy: Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement effective sales strategies and campaigns tailored to target new business opportunities. Structure, promote and sell complex solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (in particular Consumables Solution Sales Specialists & other members of the Service Business Line organisation) to ensure seamless delivery and implementation of solutions for new customers. Manage multiple conflicting engagements and prioritize and manage outcomes of cross regional teams to deliver on customer committed deliverables.
- Market Intelligence: Regularly report on prospect identification and evaluation, competitor analysis, market analysis, sales activities, progress towards OI and Revenue targets, and success rates. Provide insights and recommendations for improving sales effectiveness. . Be responsible for Business Development Planning and attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends
What you bring:
- Highly motivated & results driven business development professional with experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, with a proven track record of winning new business.
- Demonstrated business acumen to develop realistic business plans with stretch targets and a clear plan to reach those targets
- Exposure or knowledge of mining or mineral processing operations and equipment and where the FLSmidth products fit in this is highly regarded.
- Superior understanding of mining operations & customers in the relevant Region, the criticality of plant availability and the ability to anticipate customer needs through maintenance planning and forecasting.
- General understanding of the limitations presented by regional, geographical, supply chain, and market forces on the day-to-day delivery to customer operations.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationship and credibility both internally and with external customers, with strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
- Prior experience in conducting senior-level customer negotiations and identifying market gaps..
- Good written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver in a fast paced, changing environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Proactive and adaptable with a positive attitude and a willingness to support other members of the APAC Region Service & Sales team. Able to work in a matrix organization.
