Our growing company is looking for a Credit Control Supervisor to supervise a small team of Credit Controllers focused on collections, invoice support, and related activities while also maintaining an assigned base of clients.
The successful applicant will possess strong critical thinking and decision-making skills. Your work will play a major role in maximizing revenue and mitigating credit risk. The ideal candidate will be excited to collaborate with our finance, operations, and sales departments to implement an effective credit control system and resolve collection issues. You should have experience of interacting and working with customers to ensure their needs are met and their credit fits in with the current risk portfolio. You should also understand when it’s appropriate to renegotiate payment plans. Credit Control Supervisor should be prepared to provide financial reporting and analysis to stakeholders, obtain feedback and make appropriate improvements.
Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise a team of credit controllers
- Manage outstanding debt for assigned client base through collections best practice.
- Follow up on overdue invoices working with client to resolve invoice issues or discrepancies.
- Supervise a team of credit controllers. Monitor team performance, ensure appropriate action is taken to resolve aged debt, provide weekly status reporting to leadership and stakeholders
- Create procedures and policies that ensure timely payments while maintaining a high level of customer retention
- Ensure credit and collection policies and procedures are followed within the team
- Preparation of statements, client status reports and all relevant information as required
- Conducting regular debt review meetings with key stakeholders
- Managing the customer relationships and responding to internal and external queries in a timely manner.
Skills and Experience Required:

- Supervisory experience
- Proven track record of making successful credit decisions.
- Excellent customer service skills, teamwork, organization and communication skills
- Positive and a very strong, can-do attitude
- Ability to pursue external and internal contacts in a professional and organized manner, along with working from their own initiative to keep aged debtors to a minimum.
- Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.
- Ability to own the whole process, operating in a structured and organized way.
- Ability to work in harmony with other team members and use own initiative for broadening own expertise and experience.
- Accurate, efficient and organized with the ability to prioritize tasks as needed
- Ability to maintain strong relationships with external clients and internal colleagues
- Experience using Microsoft Office software, with a focus on Excel
- Fluent in written and spoken English
